- Pick to Light – enabling a designated label to flash a LED for easy operator identification
- Locate – giving a direction and distance to where the WIP goods are stored
- Sign-off – allows a worker to update some of the fields on the label, such as digital signature, quality checklists, quantity counts or disposition decisions. All of these inputs can be relayed back to be recorded in the MES system for a closed loop electronic records trail that is far superior to paper.
E-paper initiatives can also assist manufacturers to achieve environmental targets by reducing paper-based consumables in their process, qualifying for government subsidies and sustainable manufacturing incentives.
